The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued a daring challenge to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, condemning his recent "Shakti" remark and accusing him of insulting Hindu culture. BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized Rahul Gandhi for not making any efforts to rectify his statements and accused him of being influenced by divisive and anti-Hindu ideologies.

During a rally in Mumbai, Rahul Gandhi used the term "Shakti" to refer to the might of the state, highlighting the Opposition's struggle against it. However, the BJP interpreted this as an insult to Hindu culture and challenged Rahul Gandhi to use similar derogatory terms for other religious thoughts or gods.

Ravi Shankar Prasad asserted that Rahul Gandhi's remarks indicate a departure from the Congress party's traditional values and alignment with divisive and Maoist ideologies. He questioned Rahul Gandhi's courage to speak in derogatory terms about the fundamental principles of faith of other religious beliefs.

Rahul Gandhi, in response to the criticism, clarified that his "Shakti" remark was not about religious power but referred to the power of unrighteousness, corruption, and falsehood. He accused Prime Minister Modi of distorting his remarks for political gain.

The exchange of words between Rahul Gandhi and the BJP reflects the ongoing political tensions and ideological differences in the lead-up to the upcoming elections.
